  • Welcome to Mountain Empire High School; Home of the Redhawks!

I am happy to introduce myself as the Principal of Mountain Empire.  Having graduated in 1990, I am a proud alumnus of Mountain Empire and I am excited to return to my alma mater.  Mountain Empire High School is a unique school covering many miles and welcoming many diverse communities. It is the diversity of our communities that creates the unique culture that is Mountain Empire.

As I look to the future of Mountain Empire, I envision our students experiencing an education that meets the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs of each individual.  In order to achieve this vision, we will need to work together as a community of students, parents, community leaders and educators.  Being a small rural high school, we have great opportunities to build positive and lasting relationships with our students and families. I look forward to working together.

Mountain Empire High School is proud of our graduates and encourages the students to be future focused.  This fall,  26% of our graduates from the class of 2015 will be attending various 4-year universities including UCSD, UCSB, SDSU, CSUSM, Cal Poly Pomona, CSU Humboldt and many others. Our graduates did not limit their options to in state universities as many pursued options out of state including Arizona State University, Grand Canyon University, Colorado Mesa University and Baker University in Kansas.  Some of our students have chosen to serve our country through military service and one of our graduates was accepted into the US Air Force Academy.  Many of our students are continuing their education through our wonderful local community colleges as well as enrolling in community colleges throughout the state and out of state.  In total, 62% of our graduates from the class of 2015 will be attending college this fall.  According to the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, that is 10% above the national average of schools similar to ours! We wish all of our graduates well and encourage them to remember Mountain Empire as a place that will always be home to them.

We welcome your participation in your child’s learning experience.  Please let us know how we may support you and your student this school year. Thank you for your support of Mountain Empire High School.
